Reynolds and CDK agreed to a $129.5 million settlement to resolve claims they conspired to raise the price of their services.
The settlement benefits vehicle sellers who purchased dealer management services from either the Reynolds and Reynolds Company or CDK Global LLC between Sept. 1, 2013, and Aug. 15, 2024.
According to the multidistrict litigation, Reynolds and CDK conspired to raise and fix the price of dealer management services. This conspiracy allegedly violated state and federal antitrust laws.
Reynolds and Reynolds is an automotive technology company. CDK Global is a dealership software company.
Reynolds and CDK haven’t admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to pay $129.5 million to resolve the antitrust class action lawsuit.
Under the terms of the dealer management systems settlement, class members can receive a cash payment based on the number of months they paid for the services. Vehicle sellers who operated under multiple locations can submit a claim and receive payments for each of their locations.
The deadline for exclusion and objection is Nov. 7, 2024.
The final approval hearing for the settlement is scheduled for Feb. 25, 2025.
To receive dealer management systems settlement benefits, class members must submit a valid claim form by Jan. 9, 2025.
